Healer House Rules

Barbarian
The barbarian’s Rage class feature is usable 1/encounter. It functions identically to its RAW implementation, except that when a barbarian’s Rage ends, he is fatigued for twice the number of rounds spent raging. At 11th-level, this is reduced to being fatigued for an amount of time equal to the time spent raging. At 17th-level, a barbarian is not fatigued after raging. A barbarian that rages while fatigued becomes exhausted instead after the rage ends and doubles its duration.

Healer
Amended Spell List
In the name of making the class less boring to play, healers use an amended spell list, detailed below, which adds a fair amount of utility to their magical abilities. Their casting mechanics remain unaffected otherwise and as enumerated in Miniatures Handbook.
Orisons: Create water, cure minor wounds, deathwatch, detect magic, detect poison, light, mending, purify food and drink, read magic.
1st Level: Bless, bless water, calm animals, charm animal, comprehend languages, cure light wounds, detect evil, detect undead, endure elements, featherfall, goodberry, hide from undead, mage armor, magic missile, protection from evil, remove fear, remove paralysis, repair light damage, sanctuary, shield, shield of faith, speak with animals, summon monster I, summon nature’s ally I.
2nd Level: Aid, calm emotions, cure moderate wounds, consecrate, delay poison, gentle repose, lesser restoration, make whole, remove blindness/deafness, remove disease, repair moderate damage, resist energy, rope trick, sanctuary, shield other, spiritual weapon, summon monster II, summon nature’s ally II.
3rd Level: Close wounds, create food and water, cure serious wounds, daylight, dispel magic, haste, magic circle against evil, neutralize poison, remove curse, restoration, status, summon monster III, summon nature’s ally III, water breathing, water walk.

Bonus Feat
At 2nd-level, Healers may choose to gain the Battlefield Surgeon feat as a bonus feat instead of Skill Focus(Heal).

Cleanse Abilities
The Healer’s Cleanse Paralysis, Cleanse Disease, Cleanse Fear, Cleanse Poison, Cleanse Blindness, and Cleanse Petrification class abilities bequeath spell-like abilities which can be used 1/encounter rather than 1/day. If a 1/encounter ability is not used in combat, it can be used once per minute instead.

Rogue
If a rogue has a luck pool granted by the [Luck] feats from Complete Scoundrel, it resets on an encounter, rather than daily, basis.
